Cutting Clouds is a virtual polyphony for a single voice: The contrast between soft and delicate sounds and noises on the one hand and harsh attacks on the other is developed throughout the whole piece in a series of structural constellations, exploring some particular qualities of Sarah Leonard’s high soprano voice.
